I can’t say I saw it coming.
I knew the GOP was a divided. But it’s Georgia.
I knew the Dems were energized. But it’s Georgia.
This is a rare situation where the praise and blame will be equally heaped. The Stacey Abrams Machine is real. Trump’s consistent attacking of his own party leadership in Atlanta took a toll. Warnock was a compelling candidate and Ossoff sure raised a lot of money. Loeffler was a nervous wreck and Perdue quarantined with possible COVID for the stretch run.
The results are the results.
And now there are two blue senators from the Peach State going to DC. Because it’s Georgia.

When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to play with Star Wars because it had the word "Wars" in it. But I'd seen enough of my friend's action figures and whatnot that I thought I had a pretty good idea about what was going on. So I made an action figure that I figured looked like it belonged in the Star Wars universe and told my friend I had a new Star Wars toy.Â
"Really?" he asked sceptically.Â
"Yeah really"
"Okay, well let's go see it."
I took him to my house to show him my "Star Wars" action figure and he had this look that I can only imagine is the look the world is going to give to Sidney Powell's Kraken. - KEN

True! And Ossoff and Warnock sound like a bumbling snake and his aging wizard master who are easily dispatched by He-Man.

After faceplanting on the sidewalk I wound up in the ER yesterday. Two waiting rooms, COVID & non-COVID. There were ambulances lined up at the COVID entrance and about 15 patients outside waiting to get in.Â
I walked right into the non-COVID side.Â
About 4 hours later I walked out with a clean bill of health after a CT of my head and X-rays of my knees. Not bad for an ER visit.Â
Some of the same folks were still waiting outside the COVID entrance as I left. They still hadn't made it into the building.Â
My point is, wash your hands a lot, wear a goddamn mask when in public and stay home as much as possible until your number comes up for vaccination, if only so you don't have to wait outside a COVID ER for 6, 8, 10 or more hours.
