Excellent break down, cutting through the BS. I am wondering now if by the time peace is brokered if it will involve or be contingent on Zelensky leaving office. There must be a large enough group in Ukraine that look at this as a failure on his part.
When Ryan Macbeth returns to the show, you should ask him (respectfully) to eat a little crow on the "Tulsi will not be confirmed, because she won't pass a background check, because she is a literal Russian agent" take.
I thought it was fairly evenhanded, sent it to my dad who didn't agree. 🙃
He's also gone full Facebook "conservative" on a lot of stuff, where as I sit in that odd void somewhere between the old, traditional conservative values and libertarian (little L).
Way I see this going, either a deal is worked out and I pray to God it is, or a draft is going out. Military would stretched to the breaking point fighting in Europe. This would invite China to invade Taiwan and we would need massive amounts of extra manpower to do both, assuming we even have the equipment to do both
Air defense would probably see the most draftees since they already are barely covering what we cover now let alone additional forces in Taiwan and Ukraine/Europe.
If you want a decent idea of how our forces compare to other countries and what the makeup of our military is compared to our NATO allies, look up Habitual Linecrosser's USA v the world series on YouTube
I don't disagree with you that Zelensky was not wholly blindsided, but it was expected of him to be dogwalked and it's not like the independents and those voters who are not drinking MAGA kool-aid all because Trump got Trump's. It has been a common practice for Trump to get an agreement with counterparties and then at the last moment scuttle the agreed upon deal to extract a better deal. What if Ukraine gets the rest of Europe to agree with a deal and ice out American interests. Trump threatens the rest of the world with tariffs to get asymmetric deals, Zelensky wasn't ever going to be secure with US assurances because Trump is not going to keep any promise - plus Putin has shown to be untrustworthy so why give your country's security over to both proven liars Trust and Putin?
There's also the fact that the American audience isn't the only audience, Polish journalist was included in the long clip that was in this episode of Px3, and Stammer and Merz seemed to be siding with Zelensky as opposed to Trump who has been pouting against everyone else. The local politics across the world is not beneficial to Trump. He wants to throw temper tantrum about Greenland, Canada, Panama, and basically any other countries that are not kowtowing towards him (with the exception of Israel that Trump is fully willing to be kowtowing towards). If you want to be seen as standing up to the 800 lbs gorilla for your own local voters, then throw your arm around Zelensky.
This is why i Iove this show and hate mainstream media. A very nice fresh informed take. Thank you Justin.

Great episode, and a good one to make free.

I'll have to remember to send you a screencap.
Thank you for your analysis and making this episode available for all.
I sent it to my brother
He’s a moron. He completely spins and flips the facts. All Russian talking points.
