One of the great things about being a month or more behind in my podcasts is that I get to laugh at the shitty prognostication and “analysis” of Scrimshaw et al.
I can’t wait to listen to the post-election episode with Scrimshaw and Jakub and hear what kind of brain dead copium they are huffing or how they try and spin all their 100% wrong conclusions as “right all along but different”.
Narrative draft: Harris loses, and the righteous indignation towards the voters and not continuing with status quo due an allergy towards differentiating anything from Biden and the politics that kept it close that was already more tied to the business interests and big dollar donors rather than a majoritarian agenda. Harris wins, it's because the progressives/anti-establishment/anti-war/etc were ignored and that's why she won.
Heads the establishment wins and tails the populists/reformers are the reason why the Dems lost. Much like MAGA blaming the hurricane on the Dems, if a group is so powerful that are determinitive to the result of the election/hurricane then don't mess with them - yet the cognitive dissonance that the Greens or anti-war or any other segment of the electorate is both determining who wins the election and can't be credited with victory. Maybe try another strategy other than brow beating anyone left of center for having demands of their candidates?
Carl Allen interview was S tier. Hope you have him on more!

More Carl Allen, please. Dude brought the heat!
If Kamala loses, any thoughts on the fringe narrative that there should've been a contested convention?
