It’s done.
It will be wrapped up this weekend.
Is this the true beginning of a post-Trump political world?
Impeachment wraps up. Gavin begins recall defense. Should mean tweets dictate federal government jobs?
Impeachment 2 is all but done. Gavin Newsom wants to be the face of the CA recovery as recall crosses serious threshold. Brian Brushwood joins us to discuss the mean tweets of Neera Tanden and where social media should factor into a federal job.

Nothing Biden does is going to slow down China because Trump went after China the wrong way as well. I had someone I follow online refer to the US/China trade wars as this and it’s stuck with me since:
“China is focused on chips, America is focused on soybeans"
It didn’t slow down China and the trade wars only hurt the farmers. - OPENBAYOU

AOC: “Direct action is so important. Whatever gets the job done, gets it done.”
Not incitement.
Maxine Waters: “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station; you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them.”
Not incitement.
Trump: “Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
HOLY S—T INCITEMENT, FOLKS! IMPEACH HIM AGAIN! WE’LL GET HIM THIS TIME FOR SURE! - SCALE

I actually agree Trump didn’t incite violence with his speech. I still think he should be impeached for (in general) the conspiracy theories he spread for weeks and weeks about the election being rigged, (in specific) his attempt to pressure the GA secretary of state to steal the state for him, and (most pressing) his reaction to the capitol riot, which was reportedly to watch the chaos with glee for hours before issuing a halfhearted "go home but I love you" message to the rioters.
I don't think his speech was impeachable, but I do think each of the above 3 are - and taken all together, I think it's a slam dunk. Unfortunately, the House Democrats didn't focus on any of the above and instead drafted an article centered around "incitement", which gives an opening for the defense to say his actions didn't meet the technical criminal definition of "incitement" - leaving aside the fact that actual criminality is almost entirely beside the point when it comes to the political (not legal) process of impeachment. - MATT
Okay, but to that argument isn’t is a politically fruitless effort unless you know you have support in the Senate?

"In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any of you who hasn't posted anything stupid, even once, possibly taken out of context, most likely written while drunk, get her cancelled from that lucrative streaming deal.” - KEN

With all this gnashing of teeth and rending of garments over the The Impeachening, can we all agree that Trumps legal strategy could be to stick Bozo the Clown in front of the Senate for 36 hours, making balloon animals, ad it would still result in his acquittal?
At least then it would be wholesome entertainment. - PHILL
Trump defense could spend their time tweeting about how great the prosecution is and he’d still get acquitted.
