I’m going to have to be a free subscriber. Patreon let me join the $3 club and limit it to $3/month. As of a year ago I’m retired and on a fixed income and I can’t afford $12/month or $120/year.
But I’ll stick around for the free stuff and continue to recommend Px3 to everyone I know.
I'm in a similar situation and was leveraging the limit feature of Patreon to get the extra episodes at a price I could afford. I will be watching from the free benches cheering you on as you go forward.
Thank you for figuring it out. As you know, the fractured world of podcasting is fraught and full of perils. Anytime anything is changed it's at the chance of the person changing. You sticking it out is a huge favor to me and if all goes well the hard part is over!
Subscribed. It will be nice to kick Patreon to the curb...I'll miss hearing my name at the end of the episode, but I've been unemployed all year and $500 is too much right now.
I finally made it over! I had a Substack account from a few months ago but I didn’t understand how I was supposed to use it so I gave up.
It took a bit of figuring how to get my support moved over since I used different emails for Substack and Patreon but I got there eventually and my rss is set up now.
Justin, if you could do a short video/podcast episode on how you use Substack as a consumer and maybe give us a list of who you’re following and whatnot that would be fantastic and maybe a good piece of advertising to get some more of those hesitant Patreon folks over.
Made the move! My link didn't work at first either. Emailed support and working within minutes. Looking forward to years of future content! $99/year is a steal. Keep up the great work and enjoy the new baby.
HELL YEAH I'm so stoked!

Great start. custom RSS feed is invalid when I try to add it.
Not super thrilled with the move to substack.
Just to update this, after a couple of hours the link did work. Not a great experience, but it did eventually work.

When are Jen and Heaton moving over?! Is We’re Not Wrong coming to Substack?!
WELCOME Justin!!!!
Welcome to Substack! That makes my life so much easier lol
Deleted my rss in overcast and now I can’t navigate to the new rss feed because the certificate is near expiration.
Do you mean you can’t navigate to the website?

FYI not the easiest on Android mobile (sorry, I'm poor lol) but got it done eventually (I think)

How do I get to the feed in order to then get the custom RSS link?
Hey Adam! Try this link, should work for you, but let us know if not: https://politicspoliticspolitics.substack.com/s/politics-politics-politics/account/add-podcast
This link just sets me on a loop, sign in, email sent, click link, sign in, email sent, click link, etc.
We’ll shoot you an email to sort you out Martin!
